June 2019 Meeting Notes

We didn’t have a regular meeting this month. Instead we made prayer beads for the gift bags we give to newly bereaved parents. It is tedious work, yet we enjoy making them. And as always, we cherish the time we spend together. For me being with other parents who understand my pain is comforting. There is an instant bond between parents who have lost a child. Following is a quote I have found to be true:

“Grief knits two hearts in closer bonds than happiness ever can; and common sufferings are far stronger links than common joys.” - Alphonso de Lamartin (1790-1869)
